Cloth Diapering on the Go!

One question I always get when people find out that I cloth diaper is, How can you possibly cloth diaper when you are out? I mean how is it you keep the dirty diapers? That's a perfectly logical question, considering I had no idea what the answer was when I first began to cloth diaper. Frankly, the idea of cloth diapering while out scared me! It was an easy thought to have all my materials here nicely set up in my house, but what was a busy mama of (3 at the time) to do?

Believe it or not the idea is more daunting than the reality and it's almost become second nature for me to go out with my cloth diapers. As parents we tend to over pack when going out into the "world" because we always feel we are going to be caught unprepared. At this point in the game for me it's become easy to just have a purse/diaper bag when going out with the munchkins.

My purse usually consists of a change of clothes for the baby, and another for bummie since she still has her occasional accident.I also carry a few snacks and the rest is my wallet, and odds and ends. As for the diapering it all fits nicely in my wet bag.
I will usually throw in a few diapers, cloth wipes, and regular wipes in case I don't have access to water. I also carry around a little squirt bottle with my own wipe solution but I am all out right now.

Once I use the first diaper I usually go ahead and put the rest of the diapers in my purse and store the dirty ones in the wet bag. Sometimes I also carry a smaller wet bag inside of it to put the soiled diapers as well.

When out and about I can usually just strap the wet bag on the stroller(it snaps on and off) and get all my stuff done.  This works great for me and I'm sure you can do tweaking to fit your needs. It's super handy to have a wet bag even if you don't cloth diaper just to put soiled clothing in from our little ones. You can buy wet bags in all sizes to meet your needs!

Cloth diapering can be very simple if you learn to think outside the box. It's really not hard at all and even going out can be something easy to do Cloth diapers and all.

Great advice! How about long holidays away from home? Is it possible to cloth diaper when away from home for a week?
